Y Fenni yn ei Blodau Abergavenny in Bloom

The Town Council has joined forces with a number of environmental groups to bring an array of seasonal colour to the town throughout the year.

The Town Council pays for planters and hanging baskets to be filled with colourful flowers and for the watering of these containers throughout the summer. We also provide grants to local groups to help them pay for plants and tools.

The Town Council enters Abergavenny into the annual Wales in Bloom competition and arranges its own Abergavenny in Bloom Awards evening which takes place in September. Awards are given for best business, best school, best greenspace together with special recognition awards.

Abergavenny was awarded Silver Gilt and a third place in the Wales in Bloom 2019 competition. The judge's report can be viewed here
