Abergavenny Town Council Expresses Gratitude to South Wales Fire and Rescue for Poppy Net Installation

Abergavenny Town Council wishes to extend its heartfelt appreciation to the South Wales Fire and Rescue team for their invaluable support in the installation of the Poppy net at the Abergavenny Baptist Church in Abergavenny. This symbolic installation is in preparation for upcoming remembrance events, honouring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

The installation of the Poppy net represents a solemn and important moment for our community, and we are deeply thankful to the South Wales Fire and Rescue for their continued dedication to supporting our community during this honourable event. The Mayor and Town Clerk had the privilege of meeting the team, and their commitment to this endeavour was truly inspiring.

“The community of Abergavenny is immensely grateful for everything that the South Wales Fire and Rescue does for us,” said Anne Wilde Mayor of Abergavenny. “Their support in the installation of the Poppy net not only signifies their dedication to our town but also pays tribute to the sacrifices made by our servicemen and women. We are truly blessed to have such a dedicated team by our side.”

Abergavenny Town Council invites everyone to join us in commemorating the upcoming remembrance events. It is our collective responsibility to ensure that the memory of those who have given their lives for our freedom lives on.
