MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING HELD ON WEDNESDAY 10th JANUARY 2018 AFTER THE COUNCIL MEETING IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBER, TOWN HALL, ABERGAVENNY.

In attendance: J Lee (Town Clerk)
1. Apologies for absence were received from Cllrs M Hickman, S Head, S Dodd, T Davies
2. Declarations of Interest were received from Cllr R Harris. Cllr R Harris is a member of MCC Planning Committee. He took no part in the decision making and voting on these items and acted, where required, in a factual advisory capacity.
3. The following applications were recommended for approval:
DC/2017/01433 Roof alteration and windows and doors added to principal elevation at 15 Holywell Road, Abergavenny, NP7 5LR
DC/2017/01454 Two storey extension to 2 Baker Street, Smiles Better Dental Practice, Abergavenny, NP7 6DU
The following application was recommended for approval in principle subject to full consideration of any objections received.
DC/2017/01444 To add burbage metal ball top fence on top of an existing gate at 216 Underhill Crescent, Abergavenny, NP7 6DU
4. Any Other Business
The Clerk advised that MCC has refused the change of use of the building at 1A Chapel Road, Abergavenny, NP7 7DN from one dwelling house to two dwellinghouses.
The applicant has appealed against the refusal and the Town Council has been notified of details on how to submit written representations if it should wish to do so. It was agreed that as the Town Council did not object to the application then there is no need to submit written representations.
