White Ribbon community banner project – Free textile workshop

The workshop is FREE but booking is advisable.
Join professional artist Emma Bevan – Henderson of the Community Shawl Project and help create a community banner to mark White Ribbon Day.
White Ribbon Day is part of a global campaign to end violence against women and girls. It takes place each year on 25 November.
The sessions are free and all materials will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own sewing kit and any pieces of fabric you would like to use in your design.
Once completed, the banner will be displayed at the Riverfront Theatre and Arts Centre in Newport as part of its 16-day White Ribbon exhibition.
If you cannont attend the Abergavenny date, there are a range of sessions taking place across Gwent.
