Maureen has lived in the town for 21 years. Maureen sits on the Policy and Resources Committee and People and Communities with a particular interest in Education and Young People. She is also the Town Council representative on the Armed Forces. 

Alongside her commitments to the Town Council, Maureen is also a County Councillor at Monmouthshire County Council and represents the County Council on the South Wales Fire Authority. She is a regular worshipper at St Mary’s Church. Maureen’s hobbies are gardening and knitting.
