Sara represents the Cantref ward on Abergavenny Town Council and the Cantref Ward on Monmouthshire County Council which includes Llanwenarth Citra. She has lived in Abergavenny for 21 years and gave up her job as Credit Union Manager to become Cabinet Member for Inclusive and Active Communities on Monmouthshire Council in May 2022.

She sits on People and Communities committee and is particularly interested in allotments. She is a member of Abergavenny Quaker meeting and has three grown up children.
