3 Day Colour Temperature Art Workshop

Come and spend a long weekend in the glorious Monmouthshire countryside exploring colour/hue temperature in your artwork. Strengthen your understanding of how manipulating warms and cools creates strong, expressive paintings. Learn to choose and mix colour based on value and temperature first, hue second and elevate your artwork to the next level. Our inspiration for this workshop will be on landscape. Suitable for all abilities. Students can work in any mixable medium such as watercolour, inks or acrylics.

We are thrilled to be welcoming Chris Carter all the way from the USA to tutor this workshop. Chris draws and paints daily as she travels the world with pen and brush. Her willingness and commitment to share techniques; favourite tools; and her knowledge of orchestrating colour, line, shape and tone have made her a popular workshop instructor.

Chapel Cottage Studio is set in the countryside near Llanddewi Rhydderch, 4 miles outside of Abergavenny. There is no public transport so a car is required to get here. We have ample parking and although the main Studio is step free, there is a step into the building and three steps down into our cosy conservatory where lunch will be served each day.
