Minutes of the Planning Committee held after the Council Meeting on Wednesday 11 June 2014 in the Council Chamber, Town Hall, Abergavenny.

Cllrs R Harris, Mrs M Harris, Miss M Toombs, R P Jordan, Ms S Dodd, J L Prosser, R Harries and N Tatam.

1. Apologies for absence were received from Cllrs D Edwards, P Wadsworth, Mrs S Woodhouse and C Woodhouse and Mrs M Powell.

2 Declarations of interest were made by Cllr R Harris as a member of the County Planning Committee and Cllr Jordan for the applications in North Street.

3. The following applications were recommended for approval:

DC/2014/00589 Planning permission for alterations and first floor extension at Eilonwy, 55 Belgrave Rd, Abergavenny

DC/2014/00543 Planning permission for proposed garage at 8 Lansdown Rd, Abergavenny

DC/2014/00336 Planning permission to raise roof and convert loft with addition of dormer and rear single storey extension at 49 Park Crescent, Abergavenny

DC/2014/00563 Advertising consent for 2 welcome signs in the form of hoarding type signs constructed on aluminium and mounted on timber back board with oak chamfered posts at St Mary`s Priory Company, Tithe Barn, Monk Street, Abergavenny

DC/2014/00588 Planning permission for proposed first floor bedroom and conservatory (revised scheme following DC/2014/00049) at 42 North Street, Abergavenny

DC/2014/00527 Planning permission for erection of a new porch/entrance to the front of he property at 13 Penyval Rd, Abergavenny

DC/2014/00637 Listed Building Consent for above, subject to the views of the Conservation Officer

DC/2014/00530 Planning permission for street frontage repairs with window replacements, roof repairs and general upgrading at 18 Monk Street, Abergavenny subject to wood, not pvc being used.

DC/2014/00495 Listed Building Consent for formation of openings in two partitions and removal of

partition/reposition door and lining at Henton House, 28 Monk Street, Abergavenny

DC/2014/00224 Sub-division and Change of Use of existing Retail Unit to provide one A1 Unit and  one A3 Unit on the ground floor and Change of use of First and Second floor to residential C3 use comprising 2 flats at 43 and 43a Frogmore Street, Abergavenny

4. The following application was recommended for refusal:

DC/2014/00367 Planning permission for conversion of existing building to ground floor retail and first floor retail accommodation with rear extensions for retail and dental practice uses; new shop front at 51 Frogmore Street Abergavenny Recommend refusal as the proposal materially alters a listed building facade.

DC/2014/00371 Listed Building Consent for above, subject to the views of the Conservation Officer.
