Minutes of the Planning Committee held on Tuesday 12 August 2014 at 6pm in the Council Chamber, Town Hall, Abergavenny.

Present: Cllr M Hickman (Mayor)

Cllrs C Woodhouse, Mrs S Woodhouse, Mrs M Harris, P Wadsworth and N Tatam.

In attendance: The Town Clerk

1. Apologies for absence were received from Cllrs Mrs M Powell, Ms S Dodd, D Edwards, R Harris, R Harries, J L Prosser.

2. Declarations of interest would be made during the meeting where appropriate.

3. The following applications were recommended for approval:

DC/2014/00367 Amended details of conversion of existing building to ground floor retail and first floor accommodation with rear extensions for retail and dental practice uses: new shop front at 51 Frogmore Street, Abergavenny.

*DC/2014/00168 Planning Permission for Infill development of one new dwelling on land adjacent to Danyparc and new off-road parking to existing dwelling at Danyparc, 45 Stanhope Street, Abergavenny Cllrs S Woodhouse and C Woodhouse declared an interest in this application and left the room while it was discussed.)

*DC/2014/00775 Planning permission for development of a small recycling depot/storage facility with associated parking and adjacent array of PV Panels at Former Gas Works Site, Merthyr Rd/Link Road Abergavenny (Cllrs N Tatam and M Hickman declared an interest in this application and left the room while it was discussed.)

DC/2014/00841 Modification or Removal of Condition to remove conditions 17, 18 and 19 on application DC/2013/00473 on land south of the Knoll Brecon Rd, Abergavenny   This was agreed so long as the removal of the conditions does not diminish the obligation on the developers as included in the new regulations.

DC/2014/00838 Planning permission for provision of disabled wet room to rear of property with access through bedroom and connected to existing sewage system. At 61 Holywell Crescent, Abergavenny.
