Minutes of the Planning Committee of the Council held on Wednesday 12 February 2014 in the Council Chamber, Town Hall, Abergavenny after the Council Meeting.

Present: Cllr Mrs S Woodhouse (Mayor)

Cllrs M Hickman, Mrs M Harris, C Woodhouse, P Wadsworth, Ms S Dodd, J Prosser, N Tatam, Miss M Toombs, M Chiplin.

In attendance: The Town Clerk

1. Apologies for absence were received from Cllrs Mrs M Powell, D Edwards, R Harris, R Harries and P Jordan.

2. Declarations of interest would be made as necessary.

3. The following Planning Applications were recommended for approval:

DC/2013/01138 Certificate of lawful use or development for use of property to homeless people at Lyncroft 59a Park Avenue, Abergavenny (Cllr Prosser  declared an interest in this application and took no part in the decision)

DC/2014/00015 Planning permission for single storey extension to the rear of the existing property to provide a bedroom and bathroom for a disabled person, Internal amendments as indicated at 15 Derwen Way, Abergavenny

DC/2013/01063 Planning permission for single storey conservatory/garden room extension to the rear of this property at Langstone, 6, Avenue Rd, Abergavenny.

DC/2013/00943 Planning permission for proposed development of 2 no 2 storey houses and 1 no single storey dwelling � 72a Merthyr Road, Abergavenny (Cllr Wadsworth declared an interest in this application and took no part in the decision) It was agreed to recommend that the bricks and features of the building facing Merthyr Rd be retained as of historical interest.

DC/2014/00123 Discharge of condition no 25(c) Contaminated Land of application dc/2010/01065 The Cattle Market, Abergavenny

DC/2014/00049 Planning permission for a first floor extension and new conservatory at 42 North Street, Abergavenny.

DC/2013/01008 Double garage with storage area on land south of Tennis Club, east of 38 Pen y Pound, Abergavenny (Cllrs Wadsworth and Chiplin declared an interest in this application and took no part in the decision)

DC/2014/00081 Change of use from A1 Shops to A3 food and drink, removal of existing ramp and alterations to shopfront windows and entrance doors at Unit 2, Cibi Walk, Frogmore Street, Abergavenny.
