3. The following applications were recommended for approval

DM/2018/00606 Single Storey extension, 23A Lower Castle Street, Abergavenny, NP7 5EE

DM/2018/01117 LBC for a replacement roof covering to an existing porch at 32 Monk Street, Abergavenny subject to the agreement from the Heritage Manager that the proposed material is suitable for a Grade II listed building

DM/2018/001193 Conversion of the existing garage to residential use, a single storey rear extension and external ramp to the front of the property providing access for a wheelchair user

The following applications are recommended for refusal

DM/2018/0007 Magistrates Court & Police Station redevelopment, Tudor Street. The Town Council reviewed the amended plans recently submitted by the applicant. The Town Council welcomes the changes to the exterior of the building and the different use of colour and materials and this in part has addressed initial objections regarding the external appearance of the development. However, the amendments have not addressed our original concerns regarding the nature and scale of this development being out of character with the area and contrary to LDP policies DES1 and HE2. Therefore, the objections submitted in February 2018 are still valid and we would recommend refusal.
