You are hereby summoned to attend the People and Communities Committee Meeting on Wednesday 19^th July 2023 at 7pm, both online and in person at the Mayor’s Parlour, Town Hall. An MS Teams invitation will be shared for remote access.

Members of this Committee are currently Councillors Jones (Chair), Eldridge (Vice Chair), Barnes, Nicholson, George, Burch, Powell, Simcock, A Wilde, G Wilde.

The public are permitted to address the meeting for up to 15 minutes before the start of the meeting. Maximum 5 minutes for each speaker. No decision can be taken during this session, but the Chair may decide to refer any matters raised for further consideration.

PC  37/23. To receive and approve apologies for absence.

PC 38/23. To receive declarations of interest for items on the agenda

PC 39/23. To receive and approve the minutes from the last meeting on 3^rd May 2023.

PC 40/23. To receive a presentation from Jill Cole, Volunteer Engagement Co-ordinator, on the Cycling without Age project  

PC 41/23: To receive a presentation and grant funding request from Greener Abergavenny.

PC 42/23: To consider a proposal on Social Media and Website Content Management trial to improve community engagement from The Media Agency.

PC 43/23. To receive a report on the Events planned for Abergavenny in 2023/24.

PC 44/23: To receive and note the Town Clerk’s update. (Draft Summary Report – Healthy Weight Gwent)

PC 45/23. Finance:

• to receive and approve the budget report for specific budgets allocated to this committee.
•  To consider the grant funding request from Greener Abergavenny (Resolution to Award Grant Aid to a Climate Change initiative/organisation which is a non-political body – (Climate Change and Sustainable Energy Act 2006, s.20)).
